This video goes over 6 essentials you should be doing to improve the ROAS potential from your Google Ads Performance Max campaign for ecom.
This is based on my experience of working on the campaign type and racking up over £5 million in ad spend.
In summary, they are:
1. Good Merchant Centre health
2. Feed optimisation
3. Product reviews
4. Campaign structure
5. Asset group testing
6. Product testing

Why should you use a CSS for Google Shopping ads?
Well, the main reason I use a CSS with clients is for the (up to) 20% cheaper CPC you can gain from using a CSS.
You can also get other benefits like product title and description optimisers with the merchant.
It is worth noting that this is only available for qualifying EU countries which are:
Austria
Netherlands
Belgium
Norway
Czech Republic
Poland
Denmark
Portugal
Finland
Romania
France
Slovakia
Germany
Spain
Greece
Sweden
Hungary
Switzerland
Ireland
United Kingdom
Italy
However, you should weigh up the monthly cost which is around 40 euros, in comparison to how much you are spending on Google Shopping. However, in most cases, it will be a no-brainer.

The "Your Data" section is the most important part of your Performance Max audience signal. It provides Google with your previous customer data so it can go out and find people who are similar and, therefore, more likely to purchase.
In this video, I go over the best audiences to test out in this section of the audience signal for both ecom and lead gen.
